The Tippmann ACT system, which stands for anti-chop technology is patent-pending technology. This technology has truly made the 98 an even more efficient gun.

It does so by drastically reducing ball chopping (paint breaking when you shoot). Essentially what it does, is makes it so the bolt is much softer when it hits the paintball. This reduces the number of times you need to stop during play in order to clean out your barrel. Nothing is more annoying than chopping paint and the ACT reduces the headache of cleaning out your barrel. With the 98 Custom ACT, that's time you can spend in the game!

• Easier Upgrades & Modifications: Split receiver design lets you upen up the side of the marker to gives you an easy way to access the guts of your marker, so you can upgrade grips or make other kinds of modifications. Secure front sight spring and trigger pins are designed to make it a breeze service the marker and then put it together with a minimum of fuss. The power tub is designed to be easy to remove, including a self-sealing and locking gas line that eliminates bolts in previous 98 designs, and works by securing the valve in place, speeding up you and your marker's down time. Full-depth ASA pockets, so you don't have to loosen your ASA bolts when taking apart your gun.
• MilSim Ready: The newly redesigned sling mount on the end cap makes it easy to attach a sling. The redesigned, vertical foregrip gives stability and has enhanced grip thanks to a new texture. Picatinny rails make it simple to add any real-world optics, a carry handle, or additional accessories.
• Updated Barrel: This new 98 features an 8.5 inch quich thread matte finish annodized barrel to reduce reflective glare that can give your position away. It also features porting to improve your air efficiency and make your shots quieter.
