View full detailsTippmann has been involved in paintball for many years making some of the best products brought to the game of paintball. Their air tanks are what helps new players get on the field with a reliable and ready to play air tank at an affordable price! Tippmann offers two different types of air tanks, CO2 and Compressed Air. While CO2 is very common to find at your local paintball field or paintball pro shop, Compressed Air is starting to become the new normal. While Tippmann entry level tanks are only available in black currently, HK Army paintball tanks are available in multiple colors. Click the link to see the color options you have to match your paintball gun to your air tank with the HK air tanks.
The main differences between tanks you will see right off the bat is the Compressed Air tanks all come with a gauge and a fill port. The gauge allows you to see just how much air you have left, this allows you to make the choice if you have enough air for another game or if you need to run to get more at the air station. While CO2 tanks do not come with a gauge, as they do not go by pressure they go by weight. This is why when you are picking a CO2 tank you pick it by the amount of CO2 you want it to hold! Air tanks can get a little confusing sometimes, we hope we can help with that decision.
Tippmann offers many sizes in paintball tanks. Starting with CO2 tanks, they offer the 12oz, 20oz and 24oz CO2 Tanks. Most players like to go with the 20oz CO2 Tank due to its size and how many shots it will get you. Compressed Air Tanks made by Tippmann are the Aluminum 48/3000, 26/3000 and 13/3000 PSI Air Tanks. The 26 & 13/3000 PSI Air Tank's are great from younger/smaller players getting in to the sport but the standard compressed air tank is to heavy OR if you are in to mag-fed the 26 & 13/3000 PSI Tanks are a great fit in to most mag-fed style stocks that accept the air tanks like the Tippmann TMC!
CO2 tanks are a great way to get you marker up and shooting for a low price. With the way CO2 is in side the air tank, it is a liquid that turns in to a gas when it is no loner pressurized. This is what projects the paintball out of your barrel when shot. CO2 was originally designed for mechanical style markers as when you start to shoot high rates of fire it can cause the maker to freeze up. This is that white smoke you see come out the end of a barrel when some on is shooting really fast with CO2. You would not want to use this type of paintball tank with a electronic paintball marker. It could cause damage that is not covered by the markers manufactures warranty.
