Learn About Paintball Slings

Paintball slings are used on all types of guns and for good reason.
Slings are used in paintball to help with carrying your paintball gun especially if you are playing for extended periods of time or gun is a little heavy. The slings for paintball guns help disperse some of that weight on your shoulders and give you the option to carry your marker hands free or even on your back.

Sling Types

There are more than one type of slings out there with one style being a one point sling. The one point sling is attached to the gun by one point and usually has more of a "hanging" position as it is only fixed to one part of the gun. The one point sling design has the most freedom of movement compared to the other styles making it easy to switch hands and move around. Running with the one point sling can present a little more difficultly as this design allows the gun to move around more than the two point sling design does.

Two point slings are some of the most common slings available, attaching to two points on your gun. This sling  design makes it easy to switch to your side arm during game play if you have one. The two point sling also allows you to easily put your gun on your back to move or crawl around however switching hands won't be as easy but still possible with this sling.

*Remember that if you can't make a decision you can convert a 2 point sling to a 1 point to have a feeling for both.*

Many of the tactical guns have points or loops used to be able to hook on the sling itself. Some common spots are on the stock in the back and in the front near the tip of the barrel. Having a carabiner like hook on the end(s) to hook on to the Gun allows you to adjust the sling quickly. The ends of a two point sling will usually be elastic to help with taking on and off and not choking yourself when switching hands or guns. Most slings are universal allow them to fit almost any Tippmann, Tiberius, and tactical paintball gun out there.

Sling Adapters

There are many companies out there that make sling adapters. Sling adapters are loop attachments for your gun attaching to picatinny railing or other parts of the gun. A sling adapter helps with positioning and support for the gun by allowing you to attach your sling anywhere the sling adapter will attach. The price for sling adapters usually don't go over the $15 price range for an all metal one making these 2 items very affordable.

Most slings will have 1 or 2 points to help make it longer or shorter to help find the perfect length. Paintball Slings are a nice upgrade to have not only for convenience but also for how budget friendly they are. Most slings don't cost more than $20 so a sling is a highly recommended upgrade to consider.

Slings are better hand washed and left out to air dry because most slings have metal hooks and could cause damage your washing machine.

Colors for slings aren't too extensive, but still have some colors out there. Some staples are tan, Black, and Olive green.
