HK Army, Planet Eclipse, Dye all make great slider shorts but from our personal experience the Exalt paintball sliding shorts are some of the most durable and offer a great product for the price. If you are local to Houston stop by and try on our selection before you make a decision. Shopping online? Give us a call so our staff can help you with your decision on which one will fit your style of play and budget the best. Don't forget to combine your slider shorts with knee pads and arm pads to give yourself the full protection.
Paintball isn't the the softest sport out there to play. People dive , take paintball hits and, sliding around. We do wear protective padding to minimize injury and scabs. Slider shorts are one of the best things to buy when looking for padding.
Slider shorts are not too old in the paintball game around the late 2000s era. commonly Worn under the pants. Slider shorts help offer protection while playing while still staying in a small package.
Slider shorts from companies like HK army and Exalt. have a elastic waist band to keep the slider shorts from slipping off. Also, having elastic material/ dry-fit material helping keep the slider shorts from slipping around or bunching up. Giving you the ability to move around and kneel around comfortably as well.
The protection that the slider shorts offer are minimal but important. One major part is the groin protection. although it isn't a place you get hit often, when you do, you will wish you had protection there. The shorts also have protection on the side of the thighs and hips. wore correctly, the slider shorts will protect your thighs from incoming shots or while diving into the ground.
Sizing for the slider shorts are ones that you do want to fit snug while not having a bunch of extra material moving around. These do have a compression fit to them. The padding stays on by having it down on top of the short to give it stability. while making sure it will not move or come off on you for any reason. sizing goes from small- XX large, with plenty of elastic give on all sizes to find the perfect fit. over the years we have seen that sizes are usually on the smaller size, so don't be afraid to try a size up as well.
There are also slider shorts that came with knee pads attached to them. The Slider shorts do have ventilation to make sure nothing gets too sweaty and able to stay cool. vents near the groin area and back waistband where heat collets the most. unfortunately, they are no longer made however, they offered the same protection as slider shorts. slider shorts are the new and smaller alternative.
When it comes to price these to come in at $54.95. Although colors aren't the slide shorts suit. However, you can know that when you get a pair you will be protected.
when it comes to washing slider shorts. Machine wash is just fine. However, we recommend leaving to air dry. running in the dryer could cause the padding to shift around in the pocket it is in, Or ruin your elastic.
A great combo we always recommend is the slider shorts and a pair of knee pads for more leg protection. Also we recommend wearing a thin layer of clothing under the shorts to avoid uncomfortable itching.
Our staff have used many slider shorts over the years. We are happy to help or give advice however we can.
