Empire Halo Electronic Hopper

The Halo Too hopper is one of the original electronic paintball hoppers and has proven its reliability for over 20 years now. If you are looking for a beginner electronic hopper that is easy to understand and easy to use we highly recommend the Halo TOO hopper from Empire paintball.
This hopper holds about 200 paintballs and is has quite a few speed feeds available if you are looking for possible upgrades as well. You can watch our video on how to install a Halo Speed Feed and take apart your Halo before you make the purchase to see how you feel about taking it apart if needed.

 

Rip Drive Kit

One of our favorite features of the Halo hopper design is the ability to un jam your hopper easily. The Rip drive is a gear looking part that comes out of the bottom of the Halo. If your batteries die or you have a ball jammed in your hopper in the middle of the game you are able to twist the Rip Drive easily to unjam any debris or paintballs that are stuck. This allows you to stay in the game instead of having to completely quit and walk out because you aren't able to shoot your gun.

 

Tool Less Battery Replacement

In the latest version of the Halo, Empire paintball has redesigned the battery compartment for the better. The new design allows you to replace the Halo's batteries without any tools and in less than a minute. This new feature is awesome because you can quickly replace the batteries between games now which before it would have taken you five to ten minutes to complete the same task.
The Halo only takes four Double A batteries which are very popular and easy to find. This type of battery will last you at least a month if you play paintball every weekend.

 

Cleaning Your Halo

The most important downside to the Halo hopper system is the time it takes to clean the inside if you were to break paintballs inside The Halo design has been around a long time as mentioned earlier so this means it also wasn't designed to be tool-less but instead requires a screw driver and the removal of about seven screws in order to completely take it apart and clean it. This can be a little frustrating if you haven't done it before and you are out at the local paintball field with broken paintballs in your hopper. We recommend to clean your hopper at least once before you are forced to do it in a hurry at the paintball field. If you don't like the idea of having to clean your hopper with tools and such, we recommend to check out the Virtue Spire hopper as high end hopper alternative. 

 

Halo Feed Rate

For some players shooting very fast like a machine gun is important and the Halo is there for those types of players! The top speed the Halo can feed is around twenty balls per second. This should be fast enough for any local tournament or scenario paintball game you are playing. The Halo hopper also has the ability to adjust it's settings. We do not feel this is necessary but if you are the type of player that likes to tweak their gear to get it working to the best of its ability then the Halo allows you to make fine tuning adjustments on the speed, the sound sensitivity and the torque or pressure it puts on the paintball while feeding it into your gun.
