Paintball Air Tanks Accessories & Upgrades

To protect your expensive air tanks there are a few air tank upgrades we recommend. The first products we recommend is a thread saver which is a metal piece screws onto the threads of your regulator. This item protects the threads from behind damaged when your air tank isn’t attached to your gun. The other item is a full nipple cover. A full nipple cover is a piece of rubber or metal that keeps dirt from entering the fill port on the side of your compressor air tank. This increases the life of your o rings and regulator over the years of using it.

Different Types of Paintball Tanks

Over the years the top paintball tank brands have innovated and created new models and designs that have reshaped the paintball tank department. Ninja paintball has been the leading paintball tank brand for a few years now mainly due to their exclusive size options and their innovation of new designed tank regulators.

One of the main differences between the new air tanks can be felt more than actually seen. The weight of the Super Light paintball tanks has allow for large bottle to weight less than the older models of smaller sizes. What this means is, a small tank used to weight more than the larger air tanks now weight. The biggest benefit to this change is smaller players who like to shoot more paintballs can now use a larger tank without adding a ton of weight to their setup.

Empire, Ninja and now Infamous paintball tanks are all available in some form of Super Light or SL paintball tank version. Even the standard 68 cubic inch paintball tanks are coming lighter than ever before. The one and only real downside to this new version of paintball tank can be seen in the price. The newer technology and newer designs are running about fifty dollars more than the standard paintball tanks.
